Birmingham National 2024

Judge  Ernie Paterson

Overall a nice entry.

SBD (1)
1 Challinor & Challinor, Shanlimore Marvin. 3yr old upstanding and overall strong and well made body, has good bone and feet though front could be a little tidier. That said he moved well out and back.

MPD (1)
1 Barber & Barber, Kensesqui Kilimanjaro. Raw baby and a little overawed by the proceedings he needs firmer handling to get the best out of him as when he got going he moved quite well. He needs to grow on a lot.

PD (2)
1 Church & Bamford, Pafaxen High In The Sky. 11 months old and developing nicely, he has a balanced head though would prefer slightly darker eye. He has good bone and feet and a strong neck and front assembly body coming along correct lines and steady mover out and back.
2 Barber & Barber, Kensesqui Kilimanjaro. Repeat.

JD (2)
1 Wilcock & Wilcock, Shaun Dream Of Valyria Daemon Of Mysticelysium At Penell. Scored here for eye and expression, front could be better but overall body has good balance and size he moved well particularly going away.
2 Church & Bamford, Pafaxen High In The Sky. Repeat.

PGD (2)
1 Munson & Munson, Travis Bear Du Pyrdanti For Pyrbern (Imp Fra) Nice head and expression very good pigment, has good bone but front a little tight. Adequate angulation behind, used himself well on the move.
2 Church & Bamford, Pafaxen High In The Sky. Repeat.

LD (2,1)
1 Challinor & Challinor, Shanlimore Marvin. Repeat.

OD (4)
1 Pollard & Maggs, Ch Gillandant Thief Of Hearts At Dewyche. Lovely dog to handle he has a beautiful head and expression with first rate pigment, great front assembly for bone feet and angulation. Clean neck and shoulders with a deep well made body excellent ribbing and firm to line, scored in rear over the second and moved well out and back. CC.
2 Kenyon & Ward, Ch Charibere Simply The Sequel At Kaianna JW. A size smaller than the winner but equally well made particularly in terms of front assembly and body properties. Not quite the rear angulation of winner, but has good reach and drive on the move.
3 Carter, Jumicar Just An Illusion.

VD (3)
1 Reilly, UK Ch Sw Ch Ir Ch Esp Ch Multi Int Ch Lisjovia Boris Bear. Have done well for this dog in the past and he still looks the part, good head and eye as is the bone and feet, felt he was a little lean in body weight today thus RCC.
2 Holmes, Ch Lisjovia Estevez Jw Shcm ShCEx. Very nice male with so much to like and very typical of the breed he was better in body than the winner but rather sluggish on the move.
3 Cubello, Night Owl.

SBB (2)
1 Bhattacharya, Jumicar Uptown Girl. This one scored in head properties and had a little more substance than the second. I felt was particularly good on the move which was free and fluid.
2 Harris, Febus Hardknott. Lovely eyes but head overall could have had more strength, she has however a well made body and was in lovely condition. Good front action but a little close behind.

PB (3)
1 Church & Bamford, Pafaxen A Million Dreams. Better head planes than the second, lovely neck and shoulders. Great body developing with excellent ribbing. Strong Top line and good tail set. Nicely angulated rear and used herself well on the move. Best Puppy.
2 Kennedy & Kennedy, Gamuvel Patou Valkyrie At Pyrcot (Imp Lva) Excellent bone and feet, pretty head but with the required strength, not the quarters or fluid movement of winner.
3 Cochrane, Uttara Du Pyrdanti Myatoksci.

JB (3)
1 Kenyon & Ward, Charibere Reason To Dream At Kaianna.
2 Church & Bamford, Pafaxen A Million Dreams.
3 McBain & Holmes, Polar Light Pride Of America (Imp USA).

PGB (2)
1 Church & Bamford, Pafaxen A Million Dreams. Great head eye and expression, very good pigment scored for balance and quarters over the second excellent mover out and back.
2 Cochrane, Lisjovia Love On The Rocks For Myatoksci. A tad long so not as balanced as winner, feet could be tighter that said she moved with freedom and drive. Repeat.

LB (5)
1 Carter, Jumicar Moonstone. Scored for pigment head and expression here, body is firm and well made and she has a firm top line maintained on the move. 2 Thorne, Belshanmish New Sensation At Pyrajay JW. Missing pigment and not so firm in top line she is however well made with a strong body and moved with precision.
3 Harris, Febus Hardknott.

OB (6,3)
1 Bowker & Gibson, Ch Febus Anapeou JW. Beautiful bitch put down to perfection. Looked great when stacked and handles equally well lovely feminine head dark eye and great expression. First rate bone and feet nice angulation to front and rear where she scored over the second, body is deep with good ribbing and firm top line. Effortless performance on the move. CC/BOB Group shortlist.
2 Pollard, Ch Gillandant Simply The Best. Another lovely bitch out of a slightly smaller mould, clean neck and shoulder great body and used herself well out and back, nothing to dislike. RCC.
3 Goodwin & Goodwin, Ch Lisjovia White Lady Avec Montmusique JW.

VB
