Bath 2023
Judge  Jane Paradise
Thank you to the exhibitors on whom I was sprung as a replacement judge when I was contacted on the morning by the Secretary whilst driving to the show. I do hope that the original judge, Sue Hewart-Chambers, was alright after her fall in the hotel. All double dew claws present.
VD (1)
. Kricano Kinetic. 7 year old handsome lad. Strong neck, ex shoulder placement, level topline. Black lips, amber brown eyes and dark eye rims, triangular ears held flat to head. Large feet. Moving straight and true, if just a little close behind. In excellent jacket.
PD (1)
1 Munson’s Travis Bear Du Pyrdanti for Pyrbern (Imp Fra). Liked his size and overall shape. Dark brown eyes and dark rims. Ex scissor bite and black roof to mouth. Well off for bone. In quality coat with neck mane. Lovely length to his tail. Full of fun, just needs to stop skipping along and settle down into himself to tidy up his rear movement – but this is what we want to see at this age – a puppy enjoying himself. BPD.
JD (1)
1. Williams & Hall’s Belshanmish Dark Star. Dark melting eyes. In glorious coat and so well presented. Tall on leg, he has very good control over his limbs for his age and stage of development. Perfect bite and black roof. Straight forelegs and ex topline. Ex muscle tone. He tries to fool around on the move by pacing and leaping but also manages a few (enough) strides to show straight and sound movement. Has a bright future.
PGD (2)
1. Baverstock’s Kalkasi Just Because JW. Lovely dark brown eyes and clean neat lips with no looseness of flews. Well boned, loved his ribcage, long tail, strong hocks and well muscled rear end. Moved around the ring with pride.
2. Dearman & Henson’s Lisjovia Eternal Guardian for Pyrekees. An honest lad with a strong head and large nose. Darkest of thick eye rims. Not quite as strong in rear as 1st.
LD (6,1a)
1. Jones’ Lisjovia A Sky Full of Stars. Took the RDCC on his wonderful movement today. In impressive coat and condition. Ex head planes, dark eye rims and well shaped eyes giving a kind expression. Deep brisket & well ribbed back. So well muscled giving strength and power.
2. Shepherd’s Vis’kali’s Hazuki del Avantgarde (Imp Swe) (ai). 2nd and 3rd running close to one another. Good angulation fore and aft though his topline was a little slack at times. Movement was precise, albeit a little sluggish – maybe he gave up being interested due to the long wait whilst I judged my scheduled breeds!
3. Kennedy & Roberts’ Chezanna Living The Dream for Joamjess
OD (4)
1. Reilly’s Ch/swiss/ir/multi/int Ch Lisjovia Boris Bear at Darmaror JW ShCM ShCEx Cw19 . Had I been scheduled as the judge today I would probably not have had the pleasure of judging this great ambassador for the breed as I gave him DCC and BOB last time I judged. He just improves with age. Such a wonderful imposing specimen, oozing charisma, and surprisingly light on his feet for his size and build. No hesitation in awarding him the same accolades today. Such a wonderful bond between dog and handler. DCC & BOB.
2. Carter’s Jumicar Just An Illusion. Wolf sable markings, fabulous bone, deep chested and holding his topline at all times.Large nose and ex pigmentation.
3. Kenyon & Ward’s Charibere Simply The Sequel at Kaianna JW
Spec Beg (2)
1. Carter’s Jumicar Just An Illusion. BSB.
2. Munson’s - Travis Bear Du Pyrdanti for Pyrbern (Imp Fra)
VB (1)
1. Thorne’s Ch Belshanmish Pretty in Pink at Pyrajay ShCM ShCEx VW. Now 9 years old and my BCC last time I judged. She goes from strength to strength and is such a grand representative of how a giant breed can stay on top form and be competitive at the highest level well into veteran. Fabulous bite. In tip top condition and moving soundly in all directions. RBCC. BVIB.
PB (1)
1. Fieldhouse & Haslett ‘s Tessa Du Massif De L’esterel (Imp Fra). What a super puppy. She has a tendency to stand lazily with her forelegs splayed but when she moves her forelegs move straight forwards and her rear movement is spot on. Well laid shoulders, and good turn of stifle. Well ribbed. One with an exciting future. BPB & BPIB
JB (2)
1. Downes’ Belshanmish Ocean Soul. 15 months with a truly lovely outline. . A quality youngster in thick coat. Liked her a lot. Ex presentation and handling. Moving smartly around the ring.
2. Baverstock’s Kalkasi Star of The Stage. Liked her head proportions. Not quite the bone and build of 1st. Moving a little wide in front. Good turn of stifle.
PGB (5)
1. Goodwin’s Lisjovia White Lady avec Montmusique JW. A little longer cast but acceptable in a bitch. She excelled in shoulder placement and elbows correctly not too close to ribs or too far apart from ribs. Stands on firm, neat feet, with well arched toes. Adequate sweep of stifle. Holds herself well on the move.
2. Flounders’ Kalkasi Just Imperial at Lakamoni. I did like her a lot as she has so much to appreciate, on the stand she is a picture of balance with a lovely silhouette. Not moving out quite as well as 1st which cost her the class.
3. Carter’s Jumicar Moonstone
LB (4,1)
1. Thorne’s Belshanmish New Sensation at Pyrajay JW. I believe that she will be slow to body up and mature but will be worth the wait. Loved her bone construction in front and behind and her straight forelegs and well turned stifles. A little bit slack in topline just at the moment but when she springs out and has more body covering this should correct itself.
2. Kennedy & Roberts’ Kalkasi Shadow Chaser for Joamjess. Another to appreciate – beautiful eyes, ahead of 1st in body maturity and good rear angulation but not as tidy as 1st on the move.
3. Duffell’s Ricaduffal Rock Star
OB (7,2) What a stunning class.
1. Wilcock’s Ch Penellcy She’s Like The Wind. Power and femininity. Strength and softness. So well balanced with correct body proportions. Fabulous nose and lips. Deep chest and ex body breadth all through. Loved her front reach and rear drive from strong and powerful hocks. I thought that the VB would be my winner again today until this girl stepped into the ring and beguiled me. BCC.
2. Carter’s Jumicar Sweet Lady Luck. A quality lady with her silhouette and breed type from head to toe. Appealing leg feathering and skirts giving a finished and mature look.
3. Tadd’s Kricarno Katchmeifyoukan
