Paignton Champ SHow 2019

Judge  Noel Melling

Thank you to the Committee and Officers for inviting me to judge as this popular show. The weather was kind to us, and the tentage and rings were well laid out with space both inside and outside to assess my two breeds. Quite a low entry as seems to be the norm currently. Unfortunately, further depleted by some absentees on the day. Thanks to all exhibitors for making the journey to the West Country, some travelling, quite considerable distances. Dogs on the day were a variety of style and type.

PD (2)
1 Jones’ Lisjovia A Sky Full Of Stars. Nice young dog, good head, eyes and ears, well pigmented, good fill under the eyes, would prefer slightly less stop, but ok. Well angulated, front and rear, good topline held on the move, tail set on well, good plume and has the ‘crook’. Moved ok, a little loose at the front but may tighten with maturity, in good coat, well presented. BP.
2 Shepherd’s Viskalys Hazuki Del Avantgarde (Imp) (AI). Good head with correct amount of stop, nicely pigmented, good eye, well shaped and positioned, needs to fill under eyes, but ok, nice angles front and rear, moved well, loose in front, may tighten with age, showed well.
