Birmingham National 2019

Judge  Jenny Weetch

A lovely show Thank you to my superb stewards. All the dogs were well presented and healthy. Several of them had nails that were long and made their feet look untidy and some had the disadvantage of being badly out of coat.

JD (2, 1)
1 Carter’s Jumicar Casanova. Attractive head with dark almond eye, although showing a little loose flew.  Well boned, with good angulation and nice sloping down to the tail.  Would like a better front.  Moves ok, though a little close behind.

PG (5, 2)
1 Edward’s Shanlimore Casanova. Typical of this kennel. Beautifully proportioned head with well set ears and lovely eyes.  Strong neck, good shoulder placement, level back and excellent angulation at both ends.  Moved out strongly and with elegance.  CC, BOB.
2 Carter’s Jumicar Ice Warrior.  Slightly longer cast than first. Correct head but flew a little loose.  Strong neck and level back. Narrow in front which affected movement and would like a little more bone.
3 Thorne’s Kricarno Constellation At Pyrajay.

LD (3)
1 Warbrick’s Lisjovia Tokyo Road. Excellent head proportions, ears and eyes. Strong neck, well laid shoulder and correctly angulated. Very sound, strong mover. Res CC.
2 Flounder’s Gillandant Spirit Of Lakamoni. Attractive Blaireau dog with fair head, good neck and topline. Moved out easily but angulation at both ends a tad lacking.
3 Shiresoak Snow Patrol.

OD (4)
1 Kenyon, Ward & Bermingham’s Charibere Simply Magic At Chezanna. Well coated, good head proportions, though showing flew, nice eye and ear set, and strong bodied.  Moved out soundly.
2 Holmes’ Lisjovia Estevez. Correct head, level bite, showing some flew. Strong neck and level back. Good angulation. Movement a bit untidy.
3 Reilly’s Lisjovia Boris Bear At Darmaror.

VD (1)
1 Kenyon & Ward’s Ch Charibere Simply Special At Chezanna. Wears his 7 years lightly.  Well boned dog, with correct head, strong neck and back. Good angulation, breadth of chest and depth of body. He didn’t move as well as I have seen him do on other occasions, seeming a little close behind.  VG3.

JB (1)
1 Pollard’s Gillandant Ophelia. What an attractive bitch.  Correct head, with tight mouth and a soft expression. Excellent front angulation and shoulder placement, good length neck with strong back. Moved soundly, evenly, and with drive. RBCC.

PGB (7)
1 G Ophelia.
2 Gibson’s Sajobein Gastons Girl Avec Febus. This girl is of a finer type of Pyrenean.  She is very elegant, but needs a shade more substance.  Being out of coat didn’t help. Her head is correct, and she has a lovely expression and beautiful eyes. Better angulated behind than in front.  Moved out well.
3 Holmes’ Lisjovia Ottaviani.

LB (5, 2)
1 Flounders’ Sketrick Pappagana At Lakamoni. Attractive head with a lovely eye. Good length of neck and strong level back.  Hind movement better than front as she lacks bit of depth of chest.
2 Carter’s Casabear Moonbeam At Jumicar. A heavier type of bitch, with ample bone, fair head, with lovely soft expression, a good eye and correct ear placement.  A little long in body, but she kept her topline on the move.
3 Haley’s Kalkasi Lilac Wine At Mystymia.

OB (7, 2)
1 Thorne’s Ch Belshanmish Pretty In Pink At Pyrajay. Eyecatching bitch with correct head and beautiful expression.  Well constructed all through and absolutely sound on the move. Beautifully presented. BCC.
